College individual or older who has had previous Lifeguard experience. Additionally, the individual must exhibit good managerial qualities, either through previous Round Top employment or via substantiating letters from previous employers. Certified Pool Operator and Red Cross Lifeguard certifications are required. Certifications must be effective by pool opening and must remain valid through Labor day. Reports to the Club Vice President and President.
The Club administrator will be responsible for providing administrative support to the board members, club manager, camp director and club teams. The position reports to the Club Vice President and President. This role requires excellent computer and interpersonal skills.
Red Cross Certified Lifeguard in good standing (certification must be completed by pool opening and remain valid through Labor Day). The position reports to the Round Top Club Manager. Lifeguards also perform other duties, which include but are not limited to, general pool and grounds maintenance. May be assigned other duties as necessary.
Front Gate Clerk
Front gate clerks will be responsible for maintaining front gate presence. As the first person that owners and guests meet at the club, the front gate clerk must be courteous and professional at all times and must wear Round Top apparel when on duty. The front gate clerk will record all visits to the club by members and guests. He/she will take payment for guest fees and aqua aerobics cards. He/she will also furnish potential members with literature about the club. Reports to the Round Top Club Manager.
Swim Instructors needed for Swim Lesson Program. Instructors must be lifeguard certified and able to demonstrate knowledge of basic water safety and correct stroke technique for all four basic strokes. The position reports to the Swim Lesson Coordinator. Swim Instructors work approximately 1.5 hours per day for 6 weeks.
Social Activities Positions
Junior Activity Coordinator
The Social Committee is looking for 2-3 students to run the weekly daytime social activities. Responsibilities will include planning and hosting the weekly craft and game days. Candidates must be a minimum of 14 yrs. of age and be able to commit to working 3 hours per day two days a week for July and August.
Swim Team Positions
Swim Team positions usually start the first Wednesday after Memorial Day and end the first week in August. Preference will be given to individuals with full availability during this period.

Preference will be given to an individual with prior coaching experience; a willingness to serve in the position for a minimum of two years; an ability and willingness to work well with swimmers of different ages and abilities, the other coaches, and our team’s parents; and excellent communication skills. The Head Coach should be available to attend all swim practices and meets, and make up all workouts and meet lineups. The position reports to the Aquatics Board Member.

The position is supervised by the Head and Assistant Coaches with guidance from the Round Top Aquatics Board Member.
High School student who is swimming for Round Top Gators and has his/her lifesaving certification (preferred). The Position is a developmental position requiring the individual to help coach, serve as a lifeguard for the younger swimmers during practice, and assume some responsibilities during some swim meets. The position is supervised by the Head and Assistant Swim Coaches with guidance from the Aquatics Board Member
*Please note the number of coaching positions available will be based on the numbers and age distribution of Gators swimmers. As such, novice positions may not be offered until early May instead of April.
Tennis Team Positions
Head Tennis Coach
The Head Coach must the a certified tennis professional with USPTR accreditation. He/she will run practices and will be present at home matches.
Assistant Tennis Coach
High School student who is playing tennis for Round Top Gators. Must be a club member in order to coach, as this is a requirement of NJJTA in order for a coach, other than a certified tennis professional, to attend away games. Assistant coaches will run some practices for the non-high school age groups, under the direction of the club tennis pros and the Tennis Chair. Assistant coaches will attend away matches with their respective teams.
All Stars Camp Positions
The Camp Director must be a certified New Jersey Physical Education Teacher and must have current CPR/AED/First Aid certifications . He/she is responsible for scheduling the daily camp activities and scheduling and overseeing the camp counselors. The Camp Director is responsible for the safety of all campers and counselors. Reports to the Camp Board Members and the Club Vice President and President.
Camp counselors must be at least sophomores in High School in the fall following the current club season. Current CPR/AED/First Aid certifcations are required. Counselors are responsible for registering campers at the front gate and signing campers out at the end of the day, running activities as directed by the Camp Director, escorting campers to and from scheduled activities, keeping camp area tidy, serving lunch and keeping campers in order. Reports to the Camp Director.
